Indonesia is a country that has the longest coastline with huge population in fishery sectors. Fish farming and production in Indonesia is prosperous and it also generates waste of processed fish such as fish scales.
Fish scales contain plentiful organic componds of a protein 41 – 84% in the form of collagen and ichtylepidin. Collagen is well used in the medical field such as cosmetics & food supplements. This could be an option or an alternative source other than collagen derives from animal wich many problems such as BSE and pig mostly avoided by Muslim consumers.
Currently we handle & export Tilapia Fish Scales to Japan through appropriate laboratory testing as well as a rigorous selection process in cooperation between a local Fish Fillet Company and PT.
